Police declared a Level One Mobilization at MetroTech Commons in Downtown Brooklyn on Tuesday afternoon after a shot was fired in front of 1 MetroTech, home to National Grid, TKTS and other businesses.

According to NYPD, a single shot was reported at 12:50 p.m. One shell casing was found; no injuries have been reported.

A police spokesperson told the Brooklyn Eagle that the shot was fired “outside, not inside.”

Contrary to an earlier report that police arrested three teens in the case, NYPD told the Brooklyn Eagle at 3:30 p.m. that there were no suspects or arrests at that time.

An NYU-Poly spokesperson told the Brooklyn Eagle that authorities alerted them to the gunfire. “Although NYU-Poly does have facilities around the MetroTech Commons, we have none at 1 MetroTech,” she said. “We have been told that no one was injured, and the NYPD continues to investigate.”
