New job opps at Barclays

Community Board 2 reports that Forest City Ratner Companies (FCRC) is offering a new job opportunity at the Barclays Center.

The Operations Unit of AEG, the arena operator, is currently recruiting candidates for approximately 50 positions to work on the overnight conversion crew team.

These positions are separate from the recruitment drive held over this past summer, which has been completed with all positions filled, according to the company.

FCRC has committed to prioritizing the hiring of candidates from Community Boards 2, 3, 6 and 8, as well as NYC Housing Authority residents and graduates of BUILD, according to Rob Perris, CB 2 district manager.

Pre-screening recruitment events will be held in Downtown Brooklyn on Thursday and Friday, Oct. 25 and 26. Final interviews will be conducted during the week of Nov. 4. Those interested must register by email and will be notified by email of the time and location of pre-screening sessions.
