Letter to the Editor: Why I support Obamacare

Dear Brooklyn Daily Eagle,
I strongly support the Affordable Care Act, known familiarly as Obamacare. It will give 21.3 million more Americans healthcare coverage. Young people can stay on the family plan until age 26. There’s no more denial of coverage for pre-existing conditions and it does away with the lifetime cap. These are just a few of the benefits we will reap in 2014.
While ultimately single payer Medicare for All would be the best solution to our healthcare problems, the ACA provides a powerful step in the right direction, and has been saving lives since 2010. It has my full support and should have yours, too.
