Hon. Barry Kamins, one of the most respected and well-known jurists in Brooklyn and throughout the state, will receive the prestigious Benjamin N. Cardozo Award tonight at the Jewish Lawyers Guild Annual Dinner in Manhattan. Kamins not only serves as the Kings County Administrative Judge for Criminal Matters but now also serves as the administrative judge for all New York City Criminal Courts. He is a former president of the New York City Bar, Brooklyn Bar and Kings County Criminal Bar associations. An expert in criminal law, Kamins frequently writes and lectures on the topic of search-and-seizure law, with his next lecture scheduled for April 26.
