GOTCHA! Sex assault suspect videotaped in Williamsburg subway station

The NYPD is seeking the public's assistance with the whereabouts and identity of a suspect who allegedly sexually assaulted and robbed a woman at the Lorimer L train station in Williamsburg on Sunday morning, January 13 at around 2:35 a.m.

The 22-year-old woman, leaving the station, was followed by a Hispanic man in his 30s, about 5-foot-9, weighing about 180 pounds and wearing a red “hoody” and dark pants. As she walked up the stairs, he sexually assaulted her and stole her cell phone.

The police released a surveillance video of the man, obtained by Gothamist.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call Crime stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
