Not just for kids: Shakespeare himself would have loved this madcap version of his “The Comedy of Errors,” a lively situation comedy about mistaken identity, love and marriage.

Theater 2020, Brooklyn Heights’ professional theater company, presents a fast-paced romp through this classic play: 90 minutes featuring ten actors and five puppets, particularly suitable for the whole family. Director David Fuller has assembled a multi-talented team of actors and designers who promise, he says, to help take the “shakes” out of viewing Shakespeare.

“The Comedy of Errors” runs through June 2 at The Cranberry Street Theater Space, 55 Cranberry St. (between Henry and Hicks Street) in Brooklyn Heights.  Tickets: $18. Details at www.theater2020.com.

Performances will also take place on Pier One at Brooklyn Bridge Park as part of the “Bard at Pier One” series on June 9 and 10, Saturday and Sunday at 7 p.m. (free).
