One can never be sure where the first local baby born in the New Year was born, but two Brooklyn hospitals are strong contenders.
Baby boy Orane Clarke was born Jan. 1 at 12:12 am at SUNY Downstate Medical Center’s University Hospital in Central Brooklyn.
The mother is Nickesha Clarke and the father is Odane Clarke. The baby weighed in at 6 lbs, 14.4 ounces.
Meanwhile, at New York Methodist Hospital, Jungmin Oh and Benjamin Brown of the Park Slope became the parents of daughter Gena at 12:54 a.m. on Tuesday.
Gena weighs 7 pounds, 2 ounces.
