CROWN HEIGHTS — A fire broke out at the Island Bubbles laundromat in Crown Heights early Sunday evening.

According to an FDNY spokesman, 60 firefighters were called to the location at 88 Rogers Ave., corner of Park Place, at about 5:45 p.m. There were no injuries and the fire was brought under control within the hour.

A neighbor told the Eagle that this was the second fire at the laundromat since the beginning of the year.

The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing, the FDNY said.

The laundromat was open for business again on Monday morning.
