Police officers from the 62nd Precinct in Bensonhurst paid a recent visit to Lutheran Medical Center to see a baby girl whose life they saved.

Little Nataly is doing well, thanks to the officers, hospital officials said.

Her brush with death came on Feb. 4. The baby’s father flagged down a patrol car on Bath Avenue near 25th Avenue shortly before 5 p.m. and told police the child had stopped breathing, authorities said.

Officers placed the little girl in the back seat of their squad car and administered CPR, authorities said.

Police decided not to wait for an ambulance to arrive, but instead drove the baby to the hospital themselves. On the way to the hospital, the baby started breathing again, authorities said.

Little Nataly was admitted into the hospital, where she was treated for a few days and then released. She is recovering at home.

The child’s mother, Noni, expressed her gratitude to the officers during their visit to the hospital’s pediatric unit.

For their heroics, P.O. William Pierce, P.O Mathieu Pierre, P.O. Romina Cekni and P.O. Atara Ashfordof the 68th Precinct were named Cops of the Month by the 62nd Precinct Community Council at the organization’s Feb. 19 meeting.
