Kings County Civil Court hosts intense round of mock trials

The Kings County Civil Court, in cooperation with the Brooklyn Women’s Bar Association (BWBA), hosted a Law Day celebration last week that featured three intense rounds of mock trial competitions between freshman and sophomores at the Cobble Hill School for American Studies.

Supervising Judge Lisa Ottley (left), who is also a BWBA board member, oversaw Friday's events, while several judges, including Hon. Devin Cohen (right) presided over the fictional cases concerning third-party liability and freedom of the press.
