Carroll Gardens Residents Discuss Local Library Budget

According to Carroll Gardens Patch, some neighborhood residents feel that current efforts to create a separate children’s room are misguided and that the money should be spent on purchasing new books instead. In response to these charges, a representative of Friends of the Carroll Gardens Library reached told Patch that "this particular funding process involved capital expenditures — bricks and mortar. So books were not included in the proposal written by community members." The group did agree, however, that the library needs more books.
