MINEOLA, L.I. — Four players on New York's Hofstra University basketball team are accused of burglaries in campus dorm rooms, including Brooklyn native Jimmy Hall.

Nassau County police said the four defendants were facing arraignment Friday on burglary charges.

Police identified the four as Hall; Kentrell Washington of Las Vegas; and Dallas Anglin of Montclair, N.J.

The police did not confirm the defendants are members of the basketball team, but all four appear on the Hofstra University website's team rosters.

It was not known if any of the defendants had retained attorneys.

A spokeswoman for Hofstra did not immediately return a telephone call seeking comment.

Police say cash, computers and other items were taken in six burglaries between Oct. 4 and Nov. 5.

In a statement, Hofstra says the four men's basketball team members have been suspended from the university pending the outcome of the case. The statement says Hofstra's Department of Public Safety cooperated with Nassau police.

It is not known if any of the defendants have attorneys.

Hall is the team's No. 2 scorer. He and Stokes started in six of the team's seven games this season.
