Good morning. Today is the 198th day of the year. On this day in 1902, according to the Brooklyn Daily Eagle of that date, the body of a prominent physician, Dr. Edwin Harper, was found off Sea Gate. The last time he had been seen was at the Brighton Beach racetrack, and someone might have noticed that he was carrying more than $600, which is worth $16,200 in today’s money. Interestingly, he was the supervisor of the “ladies’ insane ward” at Long Island College Hospital.
