CPEX’s Ryan Condren, Eric Altschul Named for Retail Leasing

DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN — Ryan Condren and Eric Altschul, both managing directors at CPEX in Downtown Brooklyn, and both part of the firm’s Retail Leasing Team, have been named 2011 CoStar Power Brokers by the CoStar Group, a leading independent research firm in commercial real estate.

The CoStar Power Broker Award recognizes commercial real estate brokers who performed at the industry’s highest level and achieved remarkable sales and leasing success.

Under the leadership of Condren and Altschul, the CPEX Retail Leasing Team has set a new standard in the retail leasing arena in recent times, according to Timothy King, managing partner at CPEX.Eric Altschul

In the past year, the team completed 15 leases totaling over 100,000 square feet of retail space with an aggregate lease value of more than $70 million.

Moreover, the team completed leases with notable tenants such as PetSmart, Retro Fitness, RadioShack and Smashburger in  Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan.

“Ryan and Eric have averaged one lease signing every month,” said King. “This well-deserved honor is a testament to their professionalism and tenacity.”

BROOKLYN — William P. O’Brien, president of M. C. O’Brien Inc., has also been named a 2011 CoStar Power Broker by the CoStar Group.

O’Brien qualified as one of the top commercial brokers in both Brooklyn and Queens  based on the total number of leasing transactions he closed during the year.

Clients serviced by him in 2011 included Dunkin Donuts, Rosenwach Tank, Rite Aid, H&R Block, U.S. Armed Forces, Delmar International, Emblem Health, Universal Genetics, Vitreous Retina Macula Consultants and the Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn and Queens.
