Police are investigating the death of a shopkeeper discovered with a head injury inside his Brooklyn discount store.

Isaac Kadare, 59, was discovered around 8:50 p.m. Thursday in his Amazing 99 cents Deals shop on 86th Street near 19th Avenue in Bensonhurst.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

An employee told the New York Post that she spoke to a detective who said cops were investigating the death as a probable homicide. A police source told the post that authorities have not ruled out a heart attack followed by a fall.

A relative told the Daily News that Kadare was a devout Sephardic Jew who studied the Talmud daily. Thursday was the first day in a new 13-year cycle of daily Talmud study.

When the merchant’s family arrived on the scene, “the wife looked lost; the little girl was just hysterical, she didn’t know what was happening,’’ a neighbor told the Post. “They wanted to go into the store but they weren’t allowed.”
