With help from eager second graders, P.S. 264 Principal Patrice Edison, center, gets ready to cut the ceremonial ribbon to mark the officially dedication of the new elementary school on Oct. 3. P.S. 264, located at 371 89th St. in Bay Ridge, took two years to construct and opened last month. The ribbon cutting ceremony was attended by elected officials, educators, parents, students, and representatives of the New York City School Construction Authority, who built the school. P.S. 264, also known as the Bay Ridge Elementary School for the Arts, will feature an arts-centered curriculum. “It is our mission to help every child find a hidden talent within,” Edison said.
