Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), in partnership with the Fulton Area Business Alliance (FAB), today announced plans to offer free wireless internet connectivity along Fulton Street. The proposed free WiFi corridor will span 1.2 miles along Fulton Street in Brooklyn from Rockwell Place to Classon Avenue and the BAM Cultural District.

BAM and four other organizations known for achievements in improving quality of life throughout the City, were each awarded over $100,000 in funds to provide local visitors, tourists, and businesses with free internet connectivity through The Wireless Corridor Challenge. The Wireless Corridor Challenge is a NYC Economic Development Corporation initiative that partners with consultants to design, launch, implement, manage, and maintain a free, public access WiFi or other emerging technology in a New York City commercial district.
